Forged in flames and cured in ice floes, bound by one desire to conquer with the hammer of rock, three dudes set forth loudly across their destinies, record this EP and are joined by a fourth. Firebirds of The Arctic Ice were influenced by The Future, Outer Space, The Depths of The Sea, Old Ships on Dangerous Waves, Binoculars, Spyglasses, Cutlasses, Rope, Fire, Ice, Loudness, Spiciness, Cervezas, Boulders, Beards, Jump Kicks, Voyages, Wildness, Power, Simplicity, Horns, Sharks, Blood, Sextants, Celestialness, Pommels, Hilts, Boots, Oak, Nauticalness, Battles, Banners and Frankness. Some say they sounded like being stepped on by giants.

Lyrics and music written between 2007 and 2008 by Will (bass/vocals), Chris (guitars/backup vocals) and Denny (drums). Recorded by Doug in Denny's loft in late 2008 and early 2009. Firebirds of The Arctic Ice only played three shows in Nashville and Murfreesboro before they flew the coop, but it was fun while it lasted. Special thanks to Beau, who joined up with FOTAI on guitar after these tunes were already cut. Though he does not appear on this EP, Beau helped us write and rock four new songs that should be included here but sadly were never properly recorded. Thanks also to Doug, full of cheer, who graciously engineered this EP for mere pizza and beer. FOTAI was lucky enough to share the stage in late 2009 with Take The Power Back, Super Bowl Rocket Ship, Short Ropes, Apollo Up! and Private Dancer. Thanks to Tarri for the cover painting.
